Thousands Expected at Interfaith Event Hosted by San Bernardino County’s largest Mosque
West Coast’s longest-running Muslim convention begins Friday
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA will be hosting its 35th West Coast Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) this weekend aimed at bringing together Americans through dialogue and prayers. In what is the largest annual inter-faith gathering in San Bernardino County, the weekend-long event will feature a special session for guests on Friday afternoon entitled, “A Universal Message of Peace & Security,” that will bring together congressional representatives, police chiefs, councilmembers, mayors, law enforcement, community leaders, and faith leaders across Southern California, as well as Muslims from around the country.
“Our Jalsa Salana is an annual tradition in Southern California during the holiday season to celebrate our common purpose of promoting peace on earth,” said National Spokesperson for Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA, Amjad Mahmood Khan. “By facilitating robust and meaningful conversations each year, the West Coast Jalsa Salana unites individuals from a diverse range of religious, ethnic and political backgrounds across Southern California for a singular purpose: to let the forces of love overwhelm the forces of hate.”
