National Muslim Conference Brings Service to Richmond
Nation’s oldest Muslim convention launches 'Jalsa Cares' community service initiative in the city of Richmond.
Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA’s 74th Jalsa Salana (Annual Convention) is America’s oldest and longest running Muslim conference and will be coming to Richmond, Virginia, for its first time this weekend. The convention also brings “Jalsa Cares” – a program to give back to the city of Richmond with a series of service projects the day before the weekend-long convention begins.
On Thursday, June 27th, members of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community USA are partnering with the City of Richmond, alongside the American Red Cross, RVA Community Fridges, and the Evergreen and East End Cemeteries, to conduct neighborhood clean-ups in different areas around Richmond and donate food and blood to save lives.
